Board Member Bio
Martina Musmeci Salles, MPH, RDN, LDN, FAND
Martina currently serves as the chair of the Louisiana Board of Examiners in Dietetics and Nutrition (LBEDN). Ms. Salles has served as a board member since 2013. She is an established Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Licensed in Louisiana and self employed as a Consultant, Nutrition Expert, Health Educator, Health Coach, and Sports Dietitian/Nutritionist. Ms. Salles is a Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (FAND), a member of the Delta Omega National Honorary Society in Public Health, and an Emeritus Member of the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine Alumni Board. Her professional experiences include clinical, outpatient, public health, public policy and legislation, regulations, medical legal, corporate wellness, sports nutrition, marketing and sales of healthcare services, pharmaceutical products, medical supplies and equipment.
Ms. Salles received an Associate of Science Degree from Delgado Community College in New Orleans, Louisiana. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree with a concentration in Health Sciences and with an emphasis in Advanced Clinical Practice from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. She completed her Dietetic Internship at Tulane University School of Public Health, and received a Masters in Public Health from Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Ms. Salles has earned numerous awards, served on several boards, and is active in many local, state, and national associations.
