Renewal Info

Renewal notices are distributed electronically annually on April 15. Please note that failure to receive notifications is not a justification for non-renewal of licensure.  All licenses shall be renewed annually by June 30 to avoid delinquent renewal fees. Applicants receiving an initial license in the last quarter of the fiscal year (April, May, June) are not required to renew for the following licensing period.

If a license is not renewed on or before June 30, the licensee cannot practice until that license has been renewed.

Renewals are online only.

Continuing Education

The Board (LBEDN) has established a minimum requirement of 15 continuing education hours annually in dietetics and nutrition, which must be submitted at the time of license renewal.

LDNs may submit a copy of their current identification card issued by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or they may complete the the Summary of Continuing Education (Form E).

The continuing education requirement for Provisional Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist renewal is 15 continuing education hours in the area of dietetics and nutrition per licensing year and must be submitted on the Summary of Continuing Education (Form E).

Delinquent Renewals

Delinquent renewals will be accepted by the board through August 31, provided the delinquent renewal fee is paid in accordance with §111.

A person whose license has expired may not use the title or present or imply that he/she has the title of "licensed dietitian/nutritionist" or provisional licensed dietitian/nutritionist or any abbreviation or facsimile of these titles.
